MONTHLY SONG AUCTION A song INSPIRED by you, WRITTEN for you and RECORDED for you New York Theatre Barn produces a monthly platform (NYTB at The Duplex) for emerging writers and performers at the legendary Duplex Cabaret in the West Village. Over the last two years, we have had the pleasure of working with some amazing artists - some of which are beginning to go on to grander horizons (Roundabout, Playwrights Horizons, regional productions...) - and we are now partnering with these artists to extend their creativity out to you, while benefiting New York Theatre Barn’s mission to investigate, develop and advance new work. AUGUST/SEPTEMBER 2009 • CURRENT AUCTION Joshua and Sam have each agreed to auction their talents and services for New York Theatre Barn in conjunction with our new Song Auction on EBay.com. If you go to www.ebay.com right now and search “NYTB,” you will be taken directly to our auction page. There, you can bid on the chance to have Joshua H. Cohen or Sam Willmott write a song inspired by you, written for you and recorded for you (or with you). The winner will receive sheet music of the song, as well as a professional recording — generously provided by MoppTopp Records. All recordings will also appear on the New York Theatre Barn website as a promotional tool for the artists. Please take a moment listen to a clip of both Joshua H. Cohen and Sam WIllmott’s work.
